my opera My OperaDie wenigsten haben von My Opera gehört. Was ist das? Ne Oper? Naja, fast richtig. Einige werden hoffentlich den Browser Opera kennen, der eine sehr gute Alternative zu den gängigen Browsern darstellt. Opera Mini läuft übrigens auf dem Nintendo DS, also ist er vielleicht schon einigen über den Weg gelaufen.

Was ist jetzt My Opera und was bringt es dir? Wenn du auf My Opera schaust wirst du feststellen, dass es eine Community Seite des Browserherstellers ist. Die Idee ist, Fotos, Videos und Blogeinträge zu teilen. Dafür kriegst du auch einiges an Speicherplatz zur Verfügung gestellt. Und davon werden wir Gebrauch machen. 

Wenn du ein Benutzerkonto bei My Opera eröffnest (kostenlos), kannst du sofort wieder loslegen mit bloggen. Zwar hat die Community noch andere Funktionen, für den Augenblick genügt uns aber diese Funktion vollends. Genauso wie bereits bei MySpace geschrieben veröffentlichst du auch hier deine Blogeinträge. D.h. du schreibst einen Eintrag und veröffentlichst ihn hier noch mal. Vielleicht willst du hier auch nicht deinen richtigen Namen verwenden, sondern einen Künstlernamen, was vollkommen okay ist. So kannst du alles mögliche bewerben ohne dass es mit deinem Namen in Verbindung gebracht wird. 

Wichtig ist beim posten immer, dass du kontrollierst, ob die Links passen. MySpace zum Beispiel akzeptiert die Links nicht im selben Format wie MyOpera, d.h. du musst die Links oft bei den einzelnen Diensten nachbearbeiten. Kann lästig sein, muss es aber nicht. Achte einfach darauf, dass deine Posts mindestens 250 Wörter haben (weitaus besser: 400 Wörter) und du pro Absatz (ideal: 3) nur einen Link einbringst. Und zwar am besten im fließenden Text. Wie z. B. oben in der ersten Zeile des zweiten Absatz bei diesem Blogpost. Natürlich können deine Linktexte auch wesentlich mehr Wörter beinhalten als bei meinem Beispiel. 

My Opera wird noch kaum genutzt, liegt aber gut weit vorn in den Suchergebnissen und verschafft dir stabile Suchergebnisse. Deshalb willst du auf jeden Fall ein Konto eröffnen und auch dort deine Posts veröffentlichen.

    Well, I actually wrote “Lonely bride” in the Matenrou Opera community, but a lot of people think it's “Another bride” XD So I actually don't know! I think you can call it both probably, until Matenrou Opera maybe announce it somehow! Or just by reading their translated lyrics once someone translates them. :)

    I think there are people in the visual and performing arts who enjoy their feeling of getting to be in on something exclusive, that they are part of something more noble than what is enjoyed by the masses. To put dance on TV, and in a format that people find entertaining and engaging… that chips away at the exclusivity of their art.

    That's not to say that these shows don't have valid shortcomings, of course they do. But I think the disdain for putting dance on prime time TV and worse, for putting a pop-culture spin on it comes from a “walled garden” attitude in the traditional artscommunity.]]>

    I think there are people in the visual and performing arts who enjoy their feeling of getting to be in on something exclusive, that they are part of something more noble than what is enjoyed by the masses. To put dance on TV, and in a format that people find entertaining and engaging… that chips away at the exclusivity of their art.

    That's not to say that these shows don't have valid shortcomings, of course they do. But I think the disdain for putting dance on prime time TV and worse, for putting a pop-culture spin on it comes from a “walled garden” attitude in the traditional artscommunity.]]>
