Wie wichtig Content (Inhalt) auf einer Webseite und speziell einem Blog ist, habe ich bereits früher beschrieben. Wichtig ist, ab dem Zeitpunkt, wo du mit einem Blog aktiv werden willst, um auf lange Sicht eine Leserschaft und ein Einkommen aufzubauen, sofort anzufangen etwas zu schreiben. Die Qualität wird am Anfang in jedem Fall nicht ideal sein und sich mit der Zeit steigern. Das ist aber auch der Fall, wenn du erst in einem halben Jahr mit dem Schreiben anfängst. Also solltest du sofort beginnen.
Ich werde jetzt das Konzept von Pillar Content beschreiben. Man könnte auch sagen: magnetischer Inhalt. Weil es sich hierbei um Artikel handelt, die eine große Leserschaft anziehen. Das Konzept verdanke ich Yaro Starak, den ich hier auch noch vorstellen werden. Eventuell wird es sogar ein Audiointerview geben, wenn wir eine passende Zeit finden, denn der gute Mann lebt in Australien.
Es gibt 6 verschiedene Arten von Pillar Content (gewöhn dich an die englischen Begriffe, das ist in der Welt des Internet so). Heute lernst du die erste Form kennen: How to Articles!
Der Titel ist an sich schon selbsterklärend. Es handelt sich also um einen Blogpost, wo du beschreibst, wie etwas gemacht wird. Z. B. wie richte ich ein neues Programm ein, wie erstelle ich eine Internetseite, wie backe ich einen Kuchen? Es kann natürlich auch ein Audio (mit dabei) sein. Im Fall von solchen Präsentationen, wie man etwas macht, ist auch eine Bildschirmpräsentation sinnvoll: z. B. eine PowerPoint, wo man nach und nach auf Bildern sieht, was zu tun ist und man es gleichzeitig kommentiert. Oder ein komplettes Video, dass einen durch den gesamten Vorgang begleitet. Ich habe in einem früheren Beitrag bereits www.becomeablogger.de angesprochen, wo viele How to Videos sind, wie man ein Blogger wird. Diese Seite hat ein sehr hohes Besuchervolumen!
Nach und nach werde ich dir auch den Aufbau eines Textes vorstellen, je nachdem für welchen Zweck er gedacht sein soll. Aber im Grunde kannst du direkt drauf losschreiben. How to Artikel leben vor allem auch von der eigenen Art des Autors, den eigenen Einflüssen und der Herangehensweise.
Ein How to Artikel (“wie macht man’s?”) ist ganz einfach: man wählt das Thema und schreibt dazu, wie man an die Sache herangeht, worauf man zu achten hat. Welche Probleme auftreten können und was man dagegen tut. Die Möglichkeiten für How to Artikel sind unbegrenzt! Du kannst über alles schreiben und zu allem einen “wie macht man’s” Artikel schreiben. Das Thema und die Möglichkeiten sind riesig und du kannst allein an einem Fachbereich Monate und Jahre schreiben, um alles abzudecken und mit Neuerungen auf dem Laufenden zu bleiben.
Und du dachtest, es gäbe nichts zu schreiben?? 
Versuch’s gleich mal: schreib einen ersten How to Artikel und veröffentliche ihn. Demnächst wird es ein kleines Video geben, wie man sich bei WordPress.com anmeldet und einen Artikel veröffentlicht. Zum Einstieg. Du solltest aber bald auf ein selbstgehostetes WordPress Blog umsteigen. Und keine Sorge: du kannst auf WordPress.com fleißig bloggen, denn die Artikel, Kategorien, Kommentare, Tags etc. lassen sich bequem umziehen.
